Do read below and learn a little about Cyril’s Soap shed soaps, the different varieties and the fact that the company has its own small goatherd.

Normally the baby goats or “kids” are usually taken away from the mum’s when very young (which is so cruel).

Cyrils soaps allow the young kids to stay with their mum’s a lot, removing them only a little to get some of the goats milk.

This is so much kinder.

The other ingredients in this soap apart from goat’s milk are, Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Sunflower Oil, Sweet Almond oil, and Cocoa Butter plus various Essential Oils.

Cyril’s soap shed story

Goats Penny and Florence came to us in June 2008, at the age of 13mths. It was part of our drive towards a self-sufficient lifestyle

Obviously to produce the milk they needed to have kids, so we borrowed a friend’s Billy, ‘Billy St. James’, who was also a British Saneen. On the 3rd May Penny gave birth to ‘Timmy’, and on the 4th May Florence gave birth to ‘Tilly’.

We let our goats raise the kids naturally. At 2 weeks of age, the babies were put in the ‘nursery’ overnight but returned to their Mum first thing in the morning after milking. We only milk once a day, so the babies have plenty for themselves.

The ‘babies’ have since grown up, and Tilly also kidded! Her babies grew up and went to a pet home, while Tilly stayed with us and has kept milking ever since! Goats don’t need to kid every year and can continue milking for years.

We have since increased our herd, with the addition of Ellie and Pumpkin.

Our goats spend their days in their paddock or around the smallholding clearing the verges and trimming the hedges. At night, they like to go in their purpose built house, filled with cosy straw and delicious sweet hay to munch on.

GARDENERS

Our Gardeners Natural soap has a slight ‘scrubby’ feel to it, which can help to lift dirt. It is also so much more! Fragranced with Pure Lavender Essential Oil, it is antifungal and antibacterial.

The ‘scrubby’ texture is created by adding dried Lavender flowers and ground oats, which are highly moisturising and can help with Eczema. (This is my favourite soap!)

UNFRAGRANCED

A simple yet beautiful soft bubbles soap comprised of 55% Olive oil, goats milk, coconut oil, sunflower oil and sweet almond and coconut butter.

A joy to use. Great on troubled, itchy skin and for people suffering from Eczema or Psoriasis.

PATCHOULI

The patchouli plant is part of the mint family. Since time immemorial its smoky, musky, mysterious fragrance has been used in incense and as a ceremonial fragrance.

Traditionally it is said to induce relaxation, It became particularly popular with the hippy generation of the late 1960s/early 70s.
It is brilliant in balancing oily skins and can help in Eczema.

HONEY, OATS & GOATS!

A lovely, earthy soap with the magic goats milk, anti-bacterial local Honey and moisturising oats.
Great soap for Eczema and Psoriasis

ROSE AND GERANIUM

A beautifully fragranced soap. The mst popular one!

Rose has wonderful skin toning properties, while geranium is a fantastic skin all-rounder. Probably the most popular soap in the range.  Enjoy!

Goats milk soaps, handmade in Hampshire

Our goats live on a New Forest smallholding, in Hampshire and close to the Wiltshire border.

Our goats milk soaps are made with natural oils and butters using the ancient and traditional cold process method. We use pure essential oils, herbs and root powders for fragrance, colour and texture. Our goats milk soaps are luxuriously creamy and packed full of vitamins and minerals your skin will love!

For hundreds of years it has been believed that goats milk has exceptional moisturising and healing properties. It is a similar pH level to human skin, and is naturally high in vitamins, minerals and alpha hydroxy acids, that nourish and rejuvenate. Goats milk soap works particularly well for sufferers of eczema, psoriasis and dry skin problems. The soaps are also excellent on normal skin, and can help prevent any problems.
